First off, I’m no expert on happiness. Happiness, to me, is a state of being and these 7 tips have helped me achieve (or come as close as I can) to that.
Self Give- This past February I went on a mission trip to Jamaica and truly experienced self-giving. To do such pure acts with no ulterior motive is the best kind of happy.
Be quiet– Something I personally struggle with, but might just be the most important thing on this list. You don’t always have to be the life of the party. You don’t always to first. Be introspective, listen, and learn.
Be Humble– My mom has always said this since I was little and I’m finally understanding. You aren’t better than anyone. I can’t stress this enough! Its one thing to be confident but when you think you’re at the top, there’s no room to grow.
Calm Down– Although something might seem earth shattering ….it’s not. Everything with be ok.
Don’t compare yourself– A flower doesn’t compete with the flower next to it, it just blooms.
Surround yourself with positive energy- Don’t be involved with people who make you feel less than. Don’t be involved with people who compromise your values. Don’t be around people who make you feel guilty.
Love- This one is a lot harder than it seems. Giving love is hard but I promise nothing bad can happen from giving and (allowing yourself) to receive love.
